SYNPOSIS

The Windows support website states “Passkeys are the future of authentication, and for good reason! They're incredibly easy to use and intuitive, eliminating the need for complicated password creation processes and the hassle of remembering them.” To test this hypothesis and determine product strategy to accomplish the stated claim, the research and design teams in lock step with product management setup a research plan which included but were not limited to: a series of in-person and remote tests. The effort was to understand the key issues in user adoption and retention to the new technology. Insights gathered through research have impacted product development and the technology is presently rolling out to millions of users.
